Thrash Metal Documentary In Editing Stage, Preview Clips To Be Unveiled Online

January 27, 2004

Filming for "Get Thrashed", the upcoming documentary profiling the thrash metal scene of the early Eighties and its impact on the music scene, has been completed and the show is currently being edited. Post-production should be completed in late spring/early summer with an air date and location to follow soon after. In the meantime, the makers of the documentary will be adding new clips and photos to the media section of their official web site every month. On February 9, they will begin debuting rough cuts, clips, outtakes etc. at this location.

GetThrashed.com is currently hosting a number of classic photos from San Francisco Bay Area's unofficial thrash photographer — Harald O. Check them out here.

As previously reported, METALLICA, SLAYER, ANTHRAX, TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, VOIVOD, KREATOR, EXODUS, DISTURBED, SLIPKNOT, KITTIE, DEATH ANGEL and MESHUGGAH are among the bands covered in the documentary, which is the brainchild of director Rick Ernst, a longtime freelance producer for MTV.
